Drop camp at dusk - jpeg 7.8 K Dear Mountain Friends,

Thanks for 38 years of serving the recreating public. We appreciate your support and help over the years.

High Mountain Pack Trips

The mountains of the Sawtooths beckon to many to come explore its trails, lakes and valleys dressed in pine. The peace and beauty found here inspire the soul. We will continue to offer the same quality of trips that we have been offering for the past 37 years. As the world changes, we will be doing our part in keeping this area as pristine as possible. Our base camps at Toxoway Lake and Edna Lake will allow us to pack a full camp into these areas in the spring and remove it in the fall. This will allow fewer pack animals on the trails during the summer months and also allow us to bring along a few extra comforts that we were not able to offer on our moving trips.

We have teamed up with the YMCA out of Boise, the Forest Service and the Sawtooth Society to spend a week every summer working on a portion of the wilderness trail that needs repair. This program as been a wonderful experience for everyone involved. We all help to maintain the special Sawtooth Wilderness Area.

Fall Hunts

Fall is always Jeff's and my favorite time of year. Fall brings the changing of the leaves and the bulging of the elk. This backcountry outdoor experience brings a different type of inspiration as we explore other mountain ranges. Drop Camp Hunts are great hunts for hunters who like the self-guided experience. 2006 was a successful year for our drop camp hunts.

Catering

Mystic Saddle Ranch has decided to spend our time in other ways and  WILL NOT  be catering during the 2007 summer season. Deb will be spending her time with the business and expanding her real estate contacts.

Cave Creek Trailrides - Our Arizona Adventure

Cave Creek Trailrides is up and running for its 8th winter season at Cave Creek AZ, just north of Phoenix. We have a great crew that is operating the business this winter. Riders have loved dressing up in our boots, hats and chaps and riding in the beautiful Sonoran Desert that surrounds the Phoenix area. Check out our website at www.cavecreektrailrides.com. Better yet, come and ride with us while you are in the area. It is a big change from Idaho but beautiful in it's own desert way.

Real Estate

Selling real estate in the Stanley Basin continues to be a fun and challenging part of Deb's year. Finding people that "perfect spot" is great fun. 27 years in the valley has helped to assure that she can help you with buying the home of your dreams.

Deb has obtained her associate broker's license and will continue to prove outstanding service to anyone loooking for that special spot in central Idaho. Deb's real estate web site is: www.sawtoothproperties.com

Our Family

Jeff & I are empty nesters and so far life is good. Our move to Arizona to spend the winter and work with Cave Creek Trailrides has been a nice change for us. Life among 4 million people is not the most fun we have ever had but we are doing fine and learning to enjoy the desert.

Katy is in her 3rd year at Boise State and seems to have found her calling in Elementary Education. She has her own house and enjoys being a homeowner. She will be going to summer school as she is anxious to finish school and get on with her life.

At 23 years of age, Dusty is his own boss and building homes in McCall, Idaho. He has decided that school will have to wait and is devoting full time to home building. It is exciting to watch him grow and learn a new business. Dusty and his girlfriend, now fiance, Elsie, will marry Nov. 23, 2007 in Phoenix. A Stanley party is also planned. Call us for dates. We are so excited about this new addition to our family.

Party Update

Dusty and Elisa's Stanley gathering:  July 7th from 3 until ? at the sheep corrals above the house at Fisher Creek or at our place if it's bad weather. Muzzie Braun, dinner, drinks and fun. We'd love to have you!

We continue to love what we do. It has been wonderful growing and loving and living our life together. Life is always exciting and we look forward to each day with wonder.

We hope to see you in the mountains this summer or in the desert this winter.Give us a call or e-mail us, we'd love to hear from you.

Our best,

Jeff and Deb
